In most cases, it will sound great, but there are a few things to consider beforehand. First, make sure that the room is quiet. Any noise, such as traffic, construction, rain, or even your neighbors, can be picked up by the microphone and ruin your recording.
Second, do you like the way your room sounds? Every room sounds differently, boomy, reverberant (echo), transparent, bright, natural, warm, etc. Think if you like how it sounds, if you do, that will translate into a recording.
Ideally, the room wouldn't have many reflective surfaces (windows, mirrors, concrete walls), and the ratio of the dimensions wouldn't be 1 : 1 : 1, but those issues can be dealt with.
